A robotic system built for multiple maintenance tasks — inspection, cleaning, sludge mapping and ultrasonic floor scanning — as a single function or a combination of all four, scaled to your specification and access requirements.

How it works

Designed around a tool carrier.

The platform is built around a tool carrier, with each configuration focused on a different mission orientation. The primary design consideration is the ability to enter a tank's common access ports and manways.

End-user requirements vary. Our design focuses on your primary need, with attachments that adapt to unique environments — the combinations are almost immeasurable.

Inspection — remote visual access

The robot provides remote visual access to tanks and underwater structures, letting the operator inspect areas that are difficult or hazardous to reach conventionally.

Cleaning — robotic sludge removal

Configured for remote sludge and sediment removal, including our micro-dredging methodology.

Sludge Mapping — know what's inside the tank

The system measures and maps accumulated sludge to establish its distribution and depth.

Floor Scanning — ultrasonic thickness

Collects ultrasonic thickness data from tank floors while the tank remains in operation, where the application permits.

Our origin

From commercial diving to robotic ROV.

The dangers of commercial diving in tanks and confined spaces — and the inherent problem of a human working inside potable water — drove an imaginative alternative.

Paragonix has worked in the submersible ROV field since deploying its first cleaning and inspection system at Cleveland Water in 1999. In the 26 years since, our equipment has never failed to complete a project, interfered with plant operation, or caused a water-quality issue.
