Evidence

Tanks that stayed in service.

Each of these was performed by a maintenance company or utility operating a Paragonix Tek robotic system. The numbers below are theirs, taken from project records and, where quoted, from their own written accounts.

Salem, Massachusetts · 2002

Foley Hill reservoir, first cleaning since construction

A concrete underground reservoir built in the early 1900s, and the primary storage for the entire city system. Existing methods were judged unsafe, expensive and too slow. The reservoir was cleaned and prepared for repair while remaining in service.

The method kept the tank in service providing storage, adequate pressure and fire protection for a major part of our distribution grid — without the worry of introducing personnel into the tank.

Severn Trent Water, United Kingdom

First UK deployment, utility-supervised trial

The utility ran a controlled trial at an isolatable site before approving the method. Equipment was confirmed acceptable under DWI Regulation 25, disinfected before entry, and wastewater dechlorinated before discharge. Turbidity was monitored continuously at the outlet to customers throughout.

After the trial the reservoir was drained and physically inspected. I was particularly impressed by the way all sediment had been completely removed over the cleaned area, even around the bases of the many circular columns supporting the roof.

Highland, Indiana

Two five-million-gallon tanks, one mobilisation

Both tanks cleaned in a single mobilisation, in less than thirty-six total hours on site — the case that shows what the method does to schedule when the tanks are straightforward.

Offshore · March 2022

First in-service cleaning on an active offshore platform

Inspection and cleaning of a water storage tank while it remained in service on a producing platform — the environment where taking an asset down is least acceptable and mobilising a conventional crew costs the most.

First of its kind
March 2022

On record

Recorded from the first pass to the last.

Every run is recorded through the on-board camera, and sonar tracks removal performance as the work proceeds. The asset owner receives the condition of the floor before the work started and after it finished, not an assurance that it went well.

Operating companies

Maintenance companies running Paragonix Tek systems.

These companies operate our equipment as part of their own service business. The customer relationship, the contract and the work are theirs.

United States

  • US Submergent Technologies

Florida. Added robotic potable water tank cleaning to an established wastewater and stormwater cleaning business, and now delivers both.

  • Sciphyn

Operates multiple Paragonix Tek systems, adapted in-house for its own service work. A customer, not a competitor.

United Kingdom

  • Severn Trent Water

First deployment in the United Kingdom, approved after a utility-supervised trial with continuous turbidity monitoring at the outlet to customers.

Netherlands

  • A.Hak Industrial Services

Operates a Paragonix Tek system built for hazardous-area work, and applies it across tank inspection and cleaning for industrial clients.

  • Quasset

    Robotic validation partner.

Brazil

  • ASP Serviços Industriais

Itu, São Paulo. Delivers inspection and cleaning of tanks and reservoirs in operation using remotely operated vehicles, including firewater tanks under NFPA 25.
